May be involved in fat oxidation and non-oxidative glucose metabolism and in the regulation of energy expenditure. Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous with higher expression in heart, brain and skeletal muscle. Function: Plays a role of stimulator of transcription factors andnuclear receptors activities.
