Cell Permeabilization Reagent

Now you can measure the biochemistry & mechanisms of mitochondrial dysfunction without isolating mitochondria

Part # 102504-100

The XF Plasma Membrane Permeabilizer (PMP) is a proprietary reagent from Seahorse that permeabilizes intact cells in culture, circumventing the need for mitochondrial isolation. XF PMP allows researchers to explore the biochemistry and mechanisms of mitochondrial dysfunction.

XF PMP provides:
Easy access to mitochondria without detergent, beads, or gradients
Minimal optimization - most cell types work at 1.0 nM
No damage to the mitochondrial membrane for consistent results in every assay

For use with XFe and XF Analyzers

XF PMP allows easy access to the mitochondria, and offers information that can be difficult to obtain with intact cells or isolated mitochondria. XF PMP selectively targets the cellular plasma membrane while leaving the mitochondrial membrane intact. Compounds and substrates, that otherwise would not cross the plasma membrane, can now reach the mitochondria. XF PMP is a desirable alternative to detergents, such as saponin or digitonin.
